We’re No Different was inspired by a personal journey of love, advocacy, and lived experience. Founder Niesha Wood, MS, CBHCMS, CAP, was moved by her brother’s experience living with an intellectual disability and mental health challenges. Supporting him revealed the emotional weight families carry and the deep need for care that is compassionate, patient, and truly understanding.
Before establishing the agency, Niesha spent more than 18 years in social services, mental health case management, psychotherapy, behavioral health, and addiction counseling. With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology, she brings both clinical knowledge and real-life understanding to We’re No Different.
Her vision was clear:
To build an agency where people feel seen, valued, respected, and supported as whole human beings.
From that vision came a promise:
“Care will be different. It will honor people. It will uplift them.”
That promise became We’re No Different, a home health agency built on compassion, cultural humility, and unwavering respect for every individual.
